Helping The World Meet

What Are Your Meeting Must Haves?

So ladies, we all know that there's a lot more to meetings and conferences than might first come to mind.

Be it your must-have shoes, your trusty Filofax or makeup essentials, we all know there are some things we just couldn't do without when faced with an upcoming meeting, formal or otherwise.

The Competition:

We want YOU to tell us what your Meeting Must Haves are in a once-off post on your blog! By tagging your blog post with Meeting Must Haves and linking back to this post, as well as letting us know on social media/e-mail, you will be entered into a competition to win a complimentary night's stay at The Morgan Hotel in Dublin! Sounds pretty amazing, right?

The reasoning behind your choice might be style-related, convenience-related, or maybe just plain old personal preference. There's a lot of scope with this one, and we'll probably all find a love for something we never even realised we needed!

Put your thinking caps on, because we want to know all about your #MeetingMustHaves

Deadline for submissions is next Thursday, 17th September 2015.

Idea's Wanted: Could You Be Ireland's Best Event Organizer

Eventbrite Ireland has just launched a campaign called Ideas Wanted, in a quest to find Ireland's best event organizer. The concept was born out of the fact that students in Ireland have a proven track record of coming up with incredible ideas for events such as Trinity’s annual Jailbreak to DCU's 24 hour TV broadcast.

The competition is open to all third level students studying in Ireland, and involves students coming up with a creative event idea that people will pay to attend.

Ideas Wanted Competition

Ann Lowney, Marketing Manager for Eventbrite Ireland, says a great event organizer is "someone that is great at communicating their vision & understanding who their target market is."

Lowney believes that organizing events at University, whether big or small,  will really help students later in life regardless of what career path they choose.

"Whether you decide on a career in events after university is up to you, but the skills that you learn whilst doing them are transferable to most industries. Research, planning, organisation, promotion, business development, management and budgeting," she says.

The competition winner will receive a free venue for their event, 2000 euro towards organizing the event, a paid work placement with On Tap events company, an event show reel and mentor-ship from Eventbrite.
