Great week at GBTA Berlin
Just back from a really busy few days at GBTA European Conference in Berlin. The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) represents travel, procurement and meetings managers for corporations around the world and relevant suppliers. This year Meetingsbooker.com exhibited in the Innovation Row section of the Expo, we had a number of really interesting meetings with travel managers presenting our simple meetings solution.
The event includes a combination of networking events, educational sessions, GBTA voices video interviews and then the expo stands. So it offers a really interesting mix. I was delighted to be featured as part of the GBTA voices interviews, I discussed the automation of meetings and how Meetingsbooker.com helps global companies track their Simple Meetings procurement.
I also took part in an educational session along with my GBTA European Meetings Committee members. We presented a sneak preview of the new “Meetings Toolkit” and I covered the Meetings Technology section discussing the range of technology available to travel managers for larger conferences and events down to simple meetings technology. Thanks to Douglas O’Neill the chair of our committee for moderating the session.
During GBTA we also launched the Meetingsbooker.com Preferred Meetings Program, this new solution allows corporations to load their preferred hotels and via our technology secure negotiated rates for meetings and events. The system will completely transform how corporations manage simple meetings pricing and savings.
Huge thanks to everyone at the GBTA – Siobhan McGuigan, Catherine McGavock, Nikki Stimson (Pictured below along with Mark Nunan and COO and myself), Melaine Garrett and Kevin Anderson who delivered a really exceptional event. Needless to say we had an amazing event!! If you’re interested in getting involved the next GBTA conference takes place in Chicago next summer!
